Badger is one of the two most frequently deployed embedded databases in Go, the other being Bolt. Originally created by D-Graph as a back-end for their graph database, Badger has proven to be a reliable, performant and stable Key-Value database.

We use Badger in much the same way as SQLite - provisioning applications on single servers, after which the data is moved to either PostgreSQL or YugabyteDB if or when the time comes to scale up. Find out more about Badger.
